Job description

The Director of Revenue Cycle Operations Analytics exhibits project, client and unit-specific leadership to Analytics management and analysts by designing, directing, and executing key analytics projects. This includes projects such as pre-integration client reporting, emerging client integration reporting, large revenue cycle operations initiative reporting, regulatory reporting, and projects requiring expertise across multiple business reporting areas. The Director provides clarity for short / long term objectives, project prioritization, and feedback to Managers for individual and professional development of leveraged Analytics resources. The Director leverages project management skills, analytical skills and time management skills to ensure that all requirements are accomplished within established timeframes.

Requirements :

  • 4-year college degree (Business, Accounting, or IT) or 7+ years of related experience
  • 8+ years of Data Analytics experience
  • Proficient knowledge of Accounts Receivable
  • SQL proficiency
  • Data Warehousing experience
  • Healthcare Revenue Cycle experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead or oversee special project reporting for various business units and pre- integration client reporting for new emerging clients. Maintain up-to-date expertise on reporting requirements related to all revenue cycle business units under his / her direction.
  • Coordinate Analytics team analysts on projects by providing guidance and direction for reporting projects, while taking on more complex tasks as the lead for those projects. Ensure timely delivery of needed reporting to clients and various business unit stakeholders.
  • Maintain a high level understanding of Accounting practices / General Ledger practices as it relates to Hospital Revenue Cycle metrics.
  • Collaborate with senior RCM and operations team members to ensure client needs are met in the most efficient and cost effective manner.
  • Serve as mentor for junior team members and resource for manager level associates.
  • Ability to travel to new client sites to train on client systems for pre-integration reporting.
  • Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
