WESTLAKE WARRIOR | Account Specialist II

JOB HIGHLIGHTS :

PAY RATE :

  • $20.50 per hour plus bonus potential of up to $5,069.49 or more monthly based on performance.
  • The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION :

    90-day collectors will oversee handling accounts that have fallen over three payments past due. They will need to contact customer via phone and skip trace to locate customers that are difficult to get a hold of. The agent will have a monthly goal that needs to be reached. Agent will need to incorporate several skip trace techniques as well as negotiation skills to cure accounts. Agent will also have to use his / her skip trace knowledge to locate collateral and work closely with repossession agent.

    DUTIES, TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but not limited to) :

  • Collect accounts that past due three or more payments.
  • Bring delinquency down in set queue.
  • Call customer that are past due three payments
  • Skip trace to locate customers that are delinquent and collateral.
  • Make arrangements and negotiate with delinquent accounts to bring current.
  • Agent will need to be able to handle high volume calls in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work with repossession agent to secure collateral.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES

  • Skiptrace Knowledge
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekends
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws applicable to collections, including the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act
  • Good computer and typing skills
  • Team player
  • Good negotiation skills; excellent telephone etiquette
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Outlook
  • Web navigation and / or web-based applications
  • EDUCATION

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of Backend subprime collections
  • Auto Collections experience preferred

    Westlake Financial is an Internet based, privately held finance company that specializes in the acquisition and servicing of sub-prime and non-prime automotive retail installment contracts. Headquartered in Southern California, Westlake originates indirect retail installment contracts through a network of 21,000 new and used car dealers throughout the United States. All collections and servicing are performed in-house from its central facility located in the Mid-Wilshire area of Los Angeles.
