Education / Training / Experience
Minimum
High School Diploma; AA degree in data collection and management, accounting, technology, preferred; bilingual, desired. Knowledge of MS Suite of software programs, in particular Word and Excel.

Physical / Cognitive Requirements
Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; communicate verbally and electronically; reach with hands and arms; stand and move throughout the building and / or to other facilities, and drive. Occasionally required to lift and / or exert force of up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Environmental Conditions
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Travel to facilities throughout the district is integral to the job.
Essential Job Functions
To lead administration and staff in correctly entering, maintaining, and collecting student data. Submit all reports to the New Mexico Public Education Department required for school funding through the STARS system. Provide student and school data for reports to all departments, as well as outside agencies and organizations as requested, and deemed appropriate by the administration. Have an excellent working knowledge of the district computer system used to produce required reports, as well as day-to-day skills on the operations and maintenance of the student information system.
Lead with training staff on data entry and maintenance for all aspects of the student management system and act as "help desk" for data entries.Lead Student Information System security officer. Add, change, update and / or delete user profiles and passwords as deemed necessary.Coordinate and lead staff access to SIS and establishes, maintains and updates staff user roles to match the parameters set forth by district administration and provides customized menu based on job description.Lead SIS users' group meetings ensure group function and compliance with data management and reporting.Lead data entry in the student information system.Lead and collaborate with the technology department to bridge SIS data with third party software.Lead district reporting to support 40 / 80 / 120 / EOY / year-round reporting requirements and facilitate school and department data management and reporting.Lead correspondence and communicate directly with school staff to ensure prompt and accurate balancing of the student enrollment and reporting.Create and submit all required STARS files to NMPED as required throughout the school year and have finalized within 10 days of report date.Communicate accurately and effectively with district administrators as well as NMPED personnel to ensure efficient and timely reporting of data.Lead department directors in generating and analyzing state reports and ensure program accuracy for final reporting approval.Attend NMPED sponsored meetings to stay up to date on reporting requirements.Process requests for support from all departments.Assist the offices of the Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent and Directors with the creation of reports, worksheets, and data files related to both students and staff.Coordinate and lead OCR data reporting.Other duties as assigned.Personal Accountability
