Prepare all meals and snacks following the State of Indiana licensing health standardsDeliver quality food service; Prepare and present quality snacks, breakfast, and lunchesMaintain kitchen and related equipmentOrder weekly food and paper suppliesKeep the Operations Director informed of any necessary kitchen-related informationComplete timely and accurate documentation following licensing health standardsPlans nutritious menus and prepares a sufficient quantity of food for the school populationUnderstands and follows special food plans for food-allergic children or children with other food service special needsFamiliarity with proper food conditions and food storage; Ability to understand food cross-contamination needs of food allergic children and ability to implement methods of food cross-contamination avoidanceAssist with other daily center duties that might be temporary in the event other personnel are not availableAttend and participate in staff meetings, center events, and parent / customer meetings as requestedInform the Operations Director of any necessary kitchen-related informationQualifications
High school diploma requiredServSafe Food Manager Certified2+ years of experience working with children is highly desirable2+ years of institutional cooking experience; 1+ years of experience ordering food and related suppliesBasic math skills required for measuring and calculating serving portionsDependable, adaptable, and enjoys working together toward a common goalMust be able to lift to 50 lbs.Have you been searching for a career that allows you to utilize your experience and creativity to impact children's lives positively?
