ONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED! Special Procedures / Unit Details : Comprehensive Cancer Center, 318 acute care beds. All inpatient units / 36 beds. Units are specialized by cancer diagnosis. Floating to MedSurg and PCU Oncology units including : BMT Acute Leukemia Hematology Medical Oncology PCU Oncology Gynecological Oncology Urology Colorectal Surgical Oncology Corrections Healthcare Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls Certifications required : ACLS BLS NIHSS Staffing ratios - PCU is 1 : 3, can be 1 : 4 w / mixed acuity, M / S Tele ideally 1 : 4 but can be 1 : 5 Weekends - variable based on unit needs No set / blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift.
