Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a GA or compact license and strong neurology, transplant, general surgery, GYN, and orthopedic experience.

Responsibilities

Hospital-based Operating Room position

Service lines include Bariatrics, Urology, Neurology, ENT, Oral, Plastics, Transplant, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, GYN, and Orthopedics

Shifts are day (3x12 hours), typically 6 : 30am to 7 : 00pm

Weekend and call schedules are variable and discussed during the interview

Floating may occur within the facility and to outpatient settings as needed

Travelers are expected to work major holidays occurring during their assignment with no holiday time off approved

Requested time off is limited to a maximum of 7 days and cannot be scheduled during the first week

A clinical screen will be conducted to determine candidate fit

Full compliance is required prior to start to avoid orientation delays

Modules and orientation are completed during the initial phase and are recorded via transcripts

Return travelers must meet specific eligibility rules before rebooking at new locations

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

No blocked scheduling or travel pairs assigned to the same shift on the same unit

Requirements

Active GA or compact RN license in hand

Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience required prior to travel

Must have experience in neurology, transplant, general surgery, GYN, and orthopedics

Unit does not accept first-time travelers

Two supervisory references are highly preferred for consideration

Must be able to provide all core documentation and complete labs within 48 hours of contract signing

Perm staff must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one full year to be eligible as a traveler
