Fiber Design Technician

A company is looking for a Fiber Design Technician I.

Key Responsibilities

Design fiber routes from central office or hub to customer premises using GIS and design tools

Collaborate with splicing teams to troubleshoot discrepancies between design documentation and field conditions

Maintain accurate records and update databases with design and field verification data

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in Outside Plant (OSP) design

Familiarity with fiber design databases and documentation standards

Experience with GIS-based design tools and fiber management systems

Associate degree or technical certification in telecommunications, engineering, or related field preferred

Basic understanding of fiber optic technology and splicing practices is a plus
