Job Summary :

The Logistics Manager will oversee and optimize the logistics and supply chain operations for a rigid plastic blow molding manufacturing facility in St. Louis, MO. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the movement of raw materials, finished goods, and related resources to ensure efficient production and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in logistics planning, supply chain management, and a proven ability to streamline operations in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities :

• Logistics Planning & Coordination : Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective movement of raw materials, components, and finished plastic products.
• Supply Chain Management : Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee procurement processes to maintain inventory levels and support production schedules.
• Inventory Control : Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials (e.g., plastic resins) and finished goods to minimize waste and ensure availability for production and customer orders.
• Transportation Management : Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation, including selecting carriers, optimizing shipping routes, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Production Support : Collaborate with production teams to align logistics plans with manufacturing schedules, ensuring seamless operations in the blow molding process.
• Cost Optimization : Identify opportunities to reduce logistics and supply chain costs while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.
• Data Analysis & Reporting : Utilize data-driven insights to track performance metrics, forecast demand, and improve operational efficiency.
• Compliance & Safety : Ensure all logistics activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including safety and environmental standards specific to plastic manufacturing.
• Team Leadership : Supervise and mentor logistics staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
