Program Manager (Power Marketing)
This position is part of the WAPA-SNR-Sierra Nevada Region. As a Program Manager (Power Marketing), you will develop programs for the sale of power and related services to a wide and diverse customer base. This position provides innovative leadership in meeting customer needs and in establishing WAPA-wide policies and procedures in collaboration with the other WAPA managers through the Power Marketing Managers council and other similar leadership teams / work groups.

On-Call Duty - Sustain able to perform work condition within one-half hour travel time of their primary place of residence.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-14 / AD-06] in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as : Directing and supervising all aspects of the Region's Power Marketing Program, including resource planning and scheduling; day-ahead and real-time merchant operations; power contracting; power and transmission rate setting; settlements and power billing activities. Providing management and technical advice on policies, plans, and programs related to the Energy Services Program, and developing and implementing power marketing plans for the sale, exchange, and purchase of electric power. Determining purchase power requirements and analyzing alternatives consistent with Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) principles. Coordinating with other resource agencies to analyze various operating and marketing scenarios to identify power related impacts and optimize project benefits. Time-in-Grade : Current career or career-conditional GS employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional GS employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Note : Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to current career or career-conditional federal employees applying for a Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
