Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry Travel Nursing Job in Harvey, Illinois (Night Shift)

Telemetry RN Job Details

Location : Harvey, Illinois 60426 (Chicago metro area)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 17 / 2025 – End : 2 / 16 / 2026)

Shift : Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (18 : 45 – 07 : 15)

Hours per Week : 36

Unit : Telemetry (East 6)

Patient Ratio : 1 : 6 (may vary)

Charting System : Epic EMR

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Floating : Yes, as needed

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1500–$1540

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Illinois RN license (required for submission)

Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience

BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)

Proficiency in rhythm strip interpretation (must pass EKG strip test at orientation)

Preferred : Experience managing cardiac drips (dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem)

COVID-19 vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

Ability to work every other weekend and float to other units

Two professional references (including one from a direct supervisor or manager)

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Assess and monitor acute changes in patients on a busy telemetry unit

Interpret and manage cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias

Initiate and maintain cardiac drips for patients with complex cardiac conditions

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, and more)

Provide clinical care for patients with MI, arrhythmia, CVA, CHF, DKA, post-pacemaker, and other cardiac diagnoses

Document patient care using Epic EMR

Float to other nursing units as required

Participate in orientation and ongoing nursing training
