Overview

Senior Estimator - Data Center Construction role at Cupertino Electric, Inc. Location : San Jose, California | Des Moines, Iowa | Remote. Salary Range : $120,000 to $175,000. Final determination of starting pay varies based on factors including location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. CEI provides a competitive compensation package and robust benefits.

Estimating is an essential part of CEI's sales engine, supporting project management and skill development within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Create and communicate company standards for estimating electrical design / build and plans and specs work.
  • May create, maintain and upgrade the company estimating system, database (units and prices) and assemblies.
  • Communicate and partner with project managers and general contractors to ensure a high-quality estimate is delivered on time.
  • Manage quotation process with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure pricing includes all scope items.

Qualifications

  • Experience : Seven (7) years of experience in electrical estimating in commercial / industrial / high tech industry. 5 years' experience with a design / build contractor.
  • Education : High School Diploma or GED required. BA / BS preferred.
  • Licensure / Certifications : None required.
  • Other : Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
  • Skills : Proven verbal and written communication, attention to detail, collaborative team player.
