Commercial Electrical Apprentice

Location : Anchorage, Alaska

As Commercial Electrical Apprentice, youll work alongside licensed electricians on the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial buildings.     • Key Responsibilities :

    As an Commercial Electrical Apprentice, youll learn hands-on skills while assisting experienced electricians with tasks such as :

  • Assist journeyman electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial facilities such as offices, retail spaces, hospitals, and schools.
  • Install and bend conduit, pull wire, and make terminations according to blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Support the layout and installation of lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
  • Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning and compliance with codes.
  • Maintain organized work areas and adhere strictly to company and OSHA safety procedures.
  • Help with material handling, inventory, and daily job site setup and cleanup.
  • Learn and follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building regulations.

    The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly professional, and eager to contribute to a dynamic team. Key requirements include :

  • Education : High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Career Advancement : Enrollment in or willingness to join a registered electrical apprenticeship program.
  • Driving Record : Valid drivers license with a clean record.
  • Experience : Proven expertise in commercial electrical systems, project management, and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Character Fit : High integrity, reliability, and a strong work ethic are non-negotiables.
