Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) provides intensive medication compliance support to patients / clients under the direction of a physician or nursing staff. This position will be working Monday to Friday from 12 pm to 8 pm.

- Complete timely and accurate documentation as per Health System / affiliate policy.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients as described in nit / department-based competencies, policies, and procedures.
- Provide care as directed to achieve desired outcomes for individuals newborn thru geriatric.
- Complete, check, and reconcile MARs. Maintain accurate med lists in collaboration with providers and pharmacy. Provides education to patients / clients regarding medication compliance per state approved procedures and established policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the provision of quality care through techniques that support and achieve positive outcomes
- Meet scheduling requirements including nights, weekends, holidays and call.
- Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.
- Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients / clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Completion of an approved CMA classAt least 21 years old (Crisis)Required License / Certifications / Registrations
Current CMA Certification in the State of KansasCurrent BLS / CPR card from approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first.Preferred Qualifications
