Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) provides intensive medication compliance support to patients / clients under the direction of a physician or nursing staff. This position will be working Monday to Friday from 12 pm to 8 pm.

Essential Responsibilities

• Complete timely and accurate documentation as per Health System / affiliate policy.
• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients as described in nit / department-based competencies, policies, and procedures.
• Provide care as directed to achieve desired outcomes for individuals newborn thru geriatric.
• Complete, check, and reconcile MARs. Maintain accurate med lists in collaboration with providers and pharmacy. Provides education to patients / clients regarding medication compliance per state approved procedures and established policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the provision of quality care through techniques that support and achieve positive outcomes
• Meet scheduling requirements including nights, weekends, holidays and call.
• Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.
• Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients / clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.
