Description :

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Wound Care.

The role involves working 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, five days a week.

Every other weekend is required, and candidates must work two out of the three winter holidays.

The nurse will provide advanced clinical guidance to physicians and nursing staff regarding complex wounds, moisture management, and pressure injuries.

Active participation within an interdisciplinary team is expected.

The position includes providing consultation and direct patient care for new ostomy patients.

Responsibilities include performing pre-operative stoma site marking and developing education plans for patients and their families.

The nurse will advocate for patient-centered care and lead hospital-wide pressure injury prevention initiatives.

Other duties include evaluating innovative wound care products and influencing product choices through collaboration with other departments.

Education for patients, families, and healthcare professionals is a key aspect of the role.

The nurse should be knowledgeable in wound vac management and may utilize lift equipment for positioning patients during care.
