Note : To serve as a student teacher, your Educator Preparation Program (EPP) must contact Klein Human Resources (HR) with your approval prior to your application submission.

Who can serve as a student teacher?

Only student teacher candidates who have been approved by their EPP can request to student teach. Your EPP must contact Klein HR with your approval prior to your application submission.

How will I receive confirmation about my placement?

You will receive confirmation from your EPP and Klein HR.

Can I decide what campus / class I will be student teaching in?

Many factors, including student teacher candidate preferences, are considered when determining placement; however, requests are not guaranteed. All placements must meet TEA placement requirements for the certification(s) you are seeking.

Will I have to do a background check?

Yes, all student teachers must complete a background check, which will be conducted by Klein HR. You will receive an email notification regarding your request to student teach or observe.
