Traveling Construction Manager - Utility Scale Renewable Energy

Overview

Barton Malow Company is seeking a Construction Manager to join our renewables team on Solar and Wind projects throughout the state of Michigan and throughout the Great Lakes region. The Construction Manager is responsible for oversight of planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities. The Construction Manager will lead project engineers and superintendents to execute construction projects within budget and schedule per the contract documents.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversees the construction planning effort and development of Installation Work Packages & Inspection Test Plans
• Directs and oversees the development of subcontractor's scope of work, sequencing, coordination, scheduling, installation, and logistics related to projects
• Monitors self-perform and subcontractor performance including productivity tracking and / or earned value
• Ensures the relevant scopes of work are executed with strict adherence to the contract documents
• Ensures the relevant scopes of work are started and completed with strict adherence to the construction schedule
• Resolves construction conflicts, delays, and in-field issues
• Supports project manager & project controller forecast self-perform productivity
