Job descriptionGenerate and distribute monthly tenant rent invoices in accordance with lease agreements Monitor tenant accounts, follow up on past-due balances, and manage collections activity As an AR Specialist, you'll post and apply tenant payments (checks, ACH, wire) and reconcile AR accounts in systems such as Yardi, MRI, or AppFolio Maintain accurate records of tenant balances, deposits, and charges Collaborate with property management to resolve billing disputes and tenant inquiries Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, preparing AR reports and supporting reconciliations Generate AR aging reports and provide analysis to management Support internal and external audit requests with documentation and explanations Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) 2+ years of AR experience, ideally within real estate or property management Familiarity with lease agreements and tenant billing practices Proficiency in Yardi, MRI, AppFolio, or similar accounting software Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent communication skills and customer service mindset
