A fast-growing fintech Series A revolutionizing the student lending space. For the past five years, they’ve been helping students finance their education through innovative loan solutions. They’re now looking for a highly skilled Director of Finance to join them and help shape their Finance & Strategy as they scale.

Seeking a hands‑on, strategic, and entrepreneurial Finance Director to join the team and lead all aspects of financial strategy, operations, compliance, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Finance & Accounting
• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
• Replace outsourced accounting functions and build and lead an internal finance team, starting with a bookkeeping / general ledger support role.
• Strategic Financial Leadership
• Serve as a core member of the executive team, helping shape strategic direction and financial planning across all business lines.
• Advise on capital structure, fundraising strategy, investor communications, and corporate development.
• Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure ongoing financial and regulatory compliance, particularly around our registered investment advisor (RIA) obligations.
• Operational Excellence
• Be hands‑on in day‑to‑day accounting activities as needed.
• Implement scalable processes and systems to support company growth.
• Cross‑functional Collaboration
• Partner with Legal, Product, Marketing and Operations to ensure financial considerations are aligned with product design, investor offerings, and compliance.
