The System Administration Analyst position works with the Center on Education and Training for Employment (CETE) Information Technology Staff to ensure computer equipment can optimally support the work of the Center. This role also works with the College of Education and Human Ecology (EHE) Office of Information Technology (OIT) to ensure CETE’s computer infrastructure is secure, reliable and adheres to all applicable policies and laws. This role provides hardware, and software support for end-users on personal computers, tablets, and new technology. The analyst also suggests methods of providing improved service to customers; maintains maintenance records and equipment inventory.
Coordinates with CETE supervisor to overcome internal obstacles, receives technical supervision from the College Chief Information Officer’s office. Hardware support includes diagnosing issues, initiating repairs, and ordering new equipment as needed. Software Support includes general operating system support for Windows and Mac OS X devices and mobile devices and support for Microsoft Office 365 and other software packages in use at the Center. Analyst uses central IT service management tool to track tickets and IT assets, consistent with the College of Education and Human Ecology. The role also works with CETE’s Assessment Program to provide end-user support for item-writing and assessment delivery business processes using the CETE Assessment and WebXam Platforms. Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required.
Desired Experience :
Experience Desired : 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
ITIL Foundation certification preferred. Experience working in an academic environment preferred. 1 years’ experience using Mobile Device Management solutions such as JAMF. Dell-certified technician.

End-User Support : Provides hardware and software support for CETE users. Hardware support includes diagnosing issues, initiating repairs, and ordering new equipment as needed. Software Support includes general Operating System Support for Windows and Mac OS X devices as well as mobile devices. Software support also includes general support for Microsoft Office 365 and other software packages in use at the Center. Collaboration support. Provide support and guidance for users using Microsoft Teams, OneDrive and Office 365 more generally, as well as Zoom, Canvas and other platforms.

Infrastructure Support : Procure, configure, and track IT assets used by CETE program areas. Work with CETE partners at OIT to support and maintain security and privacy controls in the CETE environment. Coordinate with CETE web / application developers and EHE OIT server administrators to maintain compliance and effectiveness of critical CETE systems.

Attends center staff meetings, coordinate work with members of CETE community, including staff, faculty and students with their supervisor, and participates in continuous quality improvement activities. Asset Management : Maintain documentation of all CETE computer hardware and manage disposal in accordance with OSU Policy. Other duties as assigned.
Target Hiring Range for this position is $64,900 - $84,850
