Job Summary

The Speech and Language Therapist is directly responsible to the Director of Special Education. The primary function of this position is to identify and remediate communication disorders of students.

Additional Salary and Workload Information

• $1879 additional pay for your Masters
• $1879 additional pay for your Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or doctorate
• Speech-Language Pathology Credential = $3594 additional yearly stipend
• Separate Salary Schedule for our Speech and Language Pathologists
• Speech-Language Pathologists have flexible work hours outside of the instructional day and when not mandated to attend training and / or an IEP meeting within their duty day

SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTS (SLP) HIRING BONUS

A one-time bonus of ten-thousand dollars ($10,000) shall be awarded to any Speech Language Pathologist hired after January 1, 2025. The bonus shall be prorated according to the SLP’s assigned FTE. A full-time equivalent in the classification of one (1.0) FTE which is eight (8) hours and would receive ten-thousand dollars ($10,000) on their first pay warrant.

CERTIFICATE OF CLINICAL COMPETENCE STIPEND

Any eligible Speech Language Pathologists shall receive a stipend equivalent to 3.1% of class 3, step 3 of Appendix A, Section A (National Board Certification) for their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).

VUSD is seeking several Speech and Language Pathologists. Pre-K through Grade 12.
