About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and results-oriented Director of Development to take charge of our fundraising initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying potential donors, cultivating major gifts, managing donor relationships, collaborating closely with the development team, and overseeing reporting and data management. Your expertise in major gifts fundraising and relationship-building will be crucial in advancing our mission.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree (an advanced degree is preferred), a minimum of 5 years of significant fundraising experience, and a strong understanding of best practices in the field. You will connect with program staff to understand funding needs, attend regional and national events, and align efforts with the overall organizational strategy.

Key Responsibilities :

• Identify and research potential major gift prospects.
• Develop and implement cultivation strategies.
• Maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects to meet and exceed revenue goals.
• Solicit donations using various methods.
• Create and execute stewardship plans to strengthen donor relationships.
• Demonstrate strong project management skills and maintain high organizational standards.

Extensive travel within designated areas is expected. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and familiarity with Raiser's Edge and Office 365 is a plus. Experience within the Jewish community is highly desirable.
