Assembler

Key Responsibilities

Assemble hydraulic parts, sub‐assemblies, or full assemblies per blueprint, work instructions, or manufacturing orders.

Use hand tools and common shop tools to fit, fasten, and adjust components.

Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, or schematics as needed.

Perform quality checks : visually inspect and measure assembled parts to ensure they meet specifications.

Record data on production sheets or other documentation (e.g., parts used, inspection results).

Operate within safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workstation.

Report any defects, malfunctions, or deviations to team leads or quality personnel.

Perform basic preventive maintenance on tools and equipment (e.g., cleaning, calibration).

Assist in continuous improvement (CI) efforts or lean manufacturing initiatives, as required.

Package or prepare finished assemblies for shipment when necessary.

Support other manufacturing tasks or departments as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) preferred.

Some manufacturing or assembly experience; experience with hydraulic components is a plus.

Basic mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.

Ability to use hand tools safely and competently.

Experience reading blueprints or assembly instructions is helpful.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Physical ability to lift and carry weight (e.g., components), stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
