About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Ford Field Service Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and installations directly at customer locations. The role requires strong diagnostic abilities, hands-on repair skills, and the ability to provide professional service and support in the field. Candidates should have proven experience in automotive service and the ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide service and customer support during on-site visits
- Diagnose, test, and repair vehicles using computerized diagnostic equipment
- Perform inspections, scheduled maintenance, and repairs following company and manufacturer standards
- Carry out light and medium-duty repairs in areas such as :
Heating and air conditioning
Electrical and electronic systemsBrakes, drivetrain, suspension, and steeringTransmissions and transaxlesGas and diesel engine performance repairsSubmit accurate work orders and documentation in a timely mannerEvaluate vehicles for maintenance, warranty, or upgradesTrain customers on product use and maintenance when requiredRespond promptly to customer issues and maintain strong communicationOperate shop equipment safely and maintain a clean, organized work areaAchieve and maintain an efficiency level of 85% or greaterQualifications
High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 2 years of experience in an automotive service facility (light or medium duty)Experience in one or more areas : Automobile (A1-9), Medium / Heavy Truck (T1-8), School Bus (S1-7), Transit Bus (H1-8)Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License with passenger and air brake endorsementsMust pass ASE certification testsStrong diagnostic and repair skills with the ability to work independentlyProfessional, customer-focused attitude with strong communication skillsLeadership qualities and the ability to train or mentor when neededPunctual, reliable, and detail-orientedPhysical Requirements
Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 poundsFrequent kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling, and climbingGood manual dexterity for handling tools and equipmentMust be able to maintain a valid CDL, including DOT medical exam and driving testPay & Benefits
