Lead the Finish : Own Our Bending and Powder Coat Paint Operations
Step into a key leadership role under the Production Manager, where you will orchestrate day-to-day production to hit quality, cost, and delivery targets. Your primary stage is the bending area and powder coat paint line—keeping product moving, standards high, and customers delighted.
A day in this role
- Start by aligning build schedules with available parts and sub-assemblies; adjust the plan with Purchasing when shortages arise.
- Assign work, set priorities, and directly oversee systems integration and testing functions to keep throughput steady and rework low.
- Coach your team : interview, hire, onboard, and continuously train to our safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
- Run or contribute to planning meetings, recommending space, staffing, and equipment to support demand.
- Reduce downtime by implementing preventative maintenance and coordinating fast repairs.
- Drive improvements—refine processes, methods, and policies; boost equipment utilization and product quality.
- Delegate clearly : define ownership, set expectations, and monitor progress while enabling independent work.
- Act as the go-to technical resource for frontline problem-solving; help the team resolve issues quickly.
- Track and share internal performance metrics and KPIs.
- Catch nonconformances in real time; define corrections and issue / close corrective actions.
- Keep tools, supplies, and equipment organized; reorder what’s needed to stay productive.
- Ensure all production documentation is completed accurately—timecards, quality records, travelers, and more.
- Manage schedules, including approving vacation / time-off requests.
- Maintain a spotless, safe work environment and enforce safety and workplace rules.

Focus area
Primary focus on metal bending / press brake and the powder coat paint line. Prior paint line experience is required.

2–5 years of powder coat paint line experience (required).Bilingual English / Spanish is a plus.Education / Experience equivalencies : 1–2 years related experience; or 2 years of college plus 3–5 years progressively responsible experience; or high school plus 7–10 years progressively responsible experience; or a combination.Proficiency in Supplier Management and frontline Supervisory leadership.Tools and technologies
