Summary : Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships, the Director of Corporate Partnerships is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for driving new revenue through the sale of strategic corporate partnerships. This role is focused exclusively on identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities that leverage the full suite of marketing assets controlled by the Washington Nationals, including signage, media, hospitality, digital, experiential, and event-based platforms.
This is a high-impact, externally facing role requiring a proven track record of revenue generation, strategic thinking, and relationship-building at the executive level. The Nationals are a military-friendly organization actively recruiting veterans and spouses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Proactively identify and cultivate new corporate partnership opportunities at the local, regional, and national levels.
Develop customized, ROI-driven proposals and presentations tailored to prospective partner objectives.
Lead all aspects of the sales cycle — from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and closing.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop innovative partnership platforms and activation concepts.
Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects and consistently meet or exceed individual revenue targets.
Represent the Nationals brand with professionalism and strategic insight in external meetings, events, and hospitality settings.
Ensure seamless handoff to the activation team post-sale and maintain involvement to support long-term partner success.
Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging sponsorship opportunities.

Qualifications :
Education & Experience :
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Minimum 6 years of experience in sports sponsorship or high-level B2B sales.
Demonstrated success in closing complex, high-value deals with senior decision-makers.
Skills & Attributes :
Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Strategic thinker with a solutions-oriented approach to sales.
Strong business acumen and understanding of marketing principles.
Self-motivated, goal-driven, and comfortable working independently.

Established network of brand and agency contacts preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); CRM experience a plus.
Flexible schedule with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Work Environment :
Office : Standard office environment with occasional evening / weekend work.
Gameday : Requires presence in a dynamic, crowded outdoor sports venue; exposure to varying weather conditions.
Compensation :
The projected annual salary range for this position is $105,000 - $115,000 per year. Actual pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s : qualifications, skills, expertise, education / training, certifications, and other organization requirements. Starting salaries for new employees are frequently not at the top of the applicable salary range.
