Job Summary
The Quality Inspector is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt Team Member committed to the highest ethical behavior, and maintaining quality and safety standards by inspecting and approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished components.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Inspects incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products by :
Confirming specifications
Conducting visual and measurement testsUtilizing advanced metrology equipmentRejecting, returning, and tracking unacceptable materialsWorks closely with the Quality Manager on non-conformance and corrective actions under AS9100Documents inspection results by completing reports and logsAssembles AS9102 first article documentation for Government and customer source inspectionsFollows operating instructions for all measurement equipment and calls for necessary repairsMaintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standard operating proceduresOther duties as assignedQualifications
Education & Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent5 years combined formal training or past work experience as a quality inspector in the aerospace manufacturing industrySkills :
Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer drawings, blueprints, and specificationsAbility to accurately measure components utilizing calibrated measuring equipmentCapable of analyzing informationGood documentation and communication skillsKnowledge of general business computer software and aptitude to learn new software applicationsProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Detail-oriented individualAble to work efficiently when under pressurePositive, proactive self-starter who can work independently or with a teamUnderstands, values, and develops the interrelationship between Quality and other departmentsPreferred :
Strong quality inspection experience and / or formal quality inspection trainingMechanical aptitudeAssembly inspection experienceFamiliar with JobBoss or similar manufacturing softwareFamiliar with AS9100 and / or ISO 9001Experience with FaroArm, Micro-Hite, ROMER Arm, or CMMsGeometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) experienceF-16 inspection experiencePhysical Requirements :
