Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with a DC license and BLS certification for day shifts at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital.

Responsibilities

Work in the Operating Room of a Level I Trauma teaching hospital

9-operating room setting with a variety of surgical cases

Day shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7 : 30 am to 8 : 00 pm

Every other weekend and every other holiday are required

On-call required : 2 night calls and 3 weekend calls per month, with specific shift times for weeknights and weekends

No floating between like units required

SIS charting system is utilized

OR scrubs are provided

Parking is available for a fee or accessible via public transportation

Return staff must have at least a one year gap from prior employment

Holiday and weekend coverage is mandatory and part of the scheduling rotation

First-day parking logistics should be planned in advance due to on-site arrangements

Requirements

Active DC RN license required at time of application

Current BLS certification required

At least 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience required

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19

Two supervisory references required for consideration

Proof of identification and Social Security card required
