Supervisor Coding- Physician

RESPONSIBLE FOR : Supervises the coding function and corresponding staff. Oversees reimbursement process. Manages auditing and quality control and improvement initiatives. Ensures compliance with internal policies and procedures and governing agencies. Works with managers to assist with departmental needs and planning, including developing policies and procedures to facilitate timely and accurate reimbursement.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED : High school diploma or equivalent required.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : Three (3) years of Physician Coding / HIM experience required.

MINIMUM LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW : None.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : One or more certifications required : CPC, CPC-H, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CCS-P Specialty Coding experience preferred. Coding Certificate program (AAPC accredited preferred). Experience in coding across multiple practices and remote coding experience is a plus.
