Job description

Prime Time Healthcare is seeking a travel Echo Technologist for a travel job in Lewiston, Maine.

Job Duties

  • Perform a full range of echocardiographic procedures, including 2D, M-mode, color Doppler, spectral Doppler, and stress echocardiograms.
  • Conduct studies on adult and geriatric patients, evaluating cardiac structure and function for diagnostic interpretation.
  • Prepare detailed reports of findings and measurements for physician review.
  • Perform transthoracic and, as applicable, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and stress echocardiograms following standard protocols.
  • Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care and timely results.
  • Provide patient education regarding test procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the exam.
  • May float to other departments within the cardiovascular service line to meet operational needs.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital, departmental, and safety standards.

    • Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Cardiac or Cardiovascular Sonography program.
  • Active certification as RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer).
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent echocardiography experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Proficiency with echocardiographic imaging techniques and cardiac measurements.
  • Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to varying patient acuity levels.
