Registered Respiratory Therapist - Neonatal Intensive Care - (RRT - NICU)

Pay Rate : $1294.40 - $1418.33

7 : 00PM-7 : 00AM

NICU RRT

Must be willing to float to Adult

Level lll NICU

Must be competent to work with the High Frequency Ventilator(JET) and the Oscillator

Number of Beds – 12 beds

Number of Staff – 5-8

Type of staff : Director, permanent staff, 2-3 RRT’s, per diem help

Day Shift – Director, lead RRT, 2-3 RRT

Night Shift – On-call team, varies on volume

Patient Ratios (Estimated) – 1 : 1, 2 : 1

Type of equipment – Oxygen cylinders and concentrators, nebulizer, suction machine, CPAP & BIPAP machines

EMR – Meditech

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for : (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

BLS, ACLS, & PALS are an ABSOLUTE MUST (and NRP for NICU)

2 years of current acute care Hospital RRT experience

Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.

Stroke Education and experience & NRP

Director prefer to only consider candidates with previous Meditech experience

List typical procedures performed on unit(s) :

Respiratory Therapist provides treatment, care and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, asthma, pneumonia, emphysema

Active disciplinary approach, collaborative physician relationships

Dress Code : Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire.
