Summary :
The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for maintaining and overseeing the Green Dot Labs (GDL) grounds, buildings and equipment to ensure that all workspaces are safe and functional. This position will perform essential maintenance and safety tasks to ensure compliance and safe working spaces for all GDL employees.
The Facilities Supervisor must have effective communication skills to support multiple facilities and projects. This role will report directly to the VP of Cultivation and Programs to ensure all issues are promptly addressed.
Facilities :
- Perform standard maintenance duties such as, but not limited to : painting, window washing, snow and ice removal, general ground maintenance, HVAC, tree service, roof repair, small drywall projects, landscaping and changing light bulbs
- Schedule routine inspections and repairs, sometimes including emergencies, with outside vendors
- Create reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for management and other relevant staff
- Collaborate with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs
- Balance safety, cost management and business growth when executing repairs or new activities relating to facilities management
- Work with appropriate management to optimize warehouse and storage functions
- May negotiate contracts with service providers, examples include snow removal, lawn maintenance, tree service, HVAC maintenance, large equipment repair
- Delegate cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members and / or other departmental employees
- Monitor the cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as : offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation areas
- Prepare the facilities for changing weather conditions, this includes fall and spring cleanup, maintaining supplies of ice melt, ensuring outdoor equipment and shovels are in good repair, etc.
- Schedule janitorial services to keep the building’s interior attractive and hygienic
- Operate withing the company’s and department’s budget
- Develop databases of potential suppliers and cultivate working relationships to ease the process of acquiring new materials
- Assembly and repair of office furniture and equipment
Safety Responsibilities :
Support operations team to ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, including maintaining SDS binders in all facilitiesComplete all documentation in an accurate and timely mannerMonitoring the safety of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spacesInspect facilities to meet safety regulations and coordinate renovations and updatesParticipate in city and state inspections including but not limited to building, planning, Dept of HealthSecurity Responsibilities :
Ensure proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals and that such measures maintain compliance with the City and State regulationsAdminister access card system for Arizona locationsActivate and deactivate access cards as necessaryProgram door access, as neededWork Environment :
Approximately 40-hour work week including weekendsOvertime hours as requested / approved by the VP of Cultivation and ProgramsWorking hours spent between GDL facilitiesModerate physical activity such as walking and lifting is required daily, must be able to lift at least 60 pounds, able to stand for long periods of time, able to bend, push, pull and reachFrequent bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist and reach overheadWorking conditions are normal for manufacturing environment where exposure to moving mechanical parts, sharp cutting tools, dust, fumes and airborne particles, temperature extremes and loud noiseMust be able to ascend / descend stairs, step stools, ladders or other similar equipment to perform inspections, maintenance or repairs throughout the facilitySafety gear and PPE, such as sunglasses, gloves, goggles, ear protection and safety footwear must be wornRequired Personal Characteristics :
