Must-Have :
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Charting system experience preferred
Description :
Floating may be required to other nursing areas.
Requires a minimum of 3 years of NICU experience.
Patient ratios on nights are 3 : 1.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
Daily census is approximately 13 patients.
Number of beds in the unit is 18.
Department may handle cases involving neonates and infants.
Skills in various NICU procedures and care techniques are essential.
Must be familiar with administration of blood products, antibiotics, and respiratory support.
Experience with central line care and ventilator management is needed.
Ability to provide patient and family education.
Compliance with drug screening is required.
No exemptions for the flu vaccine will be accepted.
