The role is responsible for management for revenue for assigned areas which include but not limited to KENAN, Latis, and Federal SAP / Dassian internal systems. Management of Revenue includes explaining variances and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for assigned billing systems; maintaining the DRS (Deferred Revenue System); and attending monthly meetings related to changes and new product offerings. Assist the Senior Director of Margin with additional projects.
This position has been designated as fully remote in the U.S. The main responsibilities include managing multiple direct reports, ensuring all end user billing activity from various billing systems is interfaced to the ERP system completely and accurately and are accurately reflected on financial statements. Accrue revenue earned but not yet billed by billers if not covered by automated accruals. Maintain DRS (Deferred Revenue System) for deferred revenue treatment of charges. Defer revenue billed but not yet earned by billers if not covered by automated deferrals. Review manual journal entries for accuracy and proper documentation. Maintain balance sheet reconciliations related to the revenue lines and billing systems. Prepare revenue and expense variances for responsible areas. Assist business partners, such as FP&A, with monthly revenue variance drivers. Attend monthly meetings with Product Team in order to address issues prior to GL close. Attend monthly Margin Changes meetings to speak to any revenue-related changes requested. Attend monthly meetings and assist Technical Accounting with GL account coding for new products / offerings. Assist in new product offer implementation (journaling, reporting requirements, testing). Review codes quarterly for any issues to be addressed with Product / Technical Accounting teams. Support audit functions for Internal / External / SOX Compliance. Review and provide guidance where necessary for balance sheet G / L account reconciliations according to SOX guidelines. Work with and support foreign accounting groups for statutory reporting. Work on ERP S4 Hanna initiatives as requested. Oversee regression testing for IT change requests and system transformation initiatives. Other duties as assigned.
What we look for in a candidate includes extensive knowledge and application of generally accepted accounting principles. A bachelor's degree in accounting is required. Minimum of 8 years of total accounting experience with at least five years in a public company. Minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience. Ability to work in a complex environment. Excellent analytical skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision with a continuous improvement mindset. Preferred qualifications include Certified Public Accountant, public accounting experience, Big-4 preferred, experience with SAP, and experience in the technology industry.
Compensation information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors. Location based pay ranges are provided.
