DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Journeyman Logistician (Logistics Support) to join our team on an upcoming U.S. Coast Guard Waterways Commerce Cutter (WCC) Project Management Support Services contract located in Bayou La Batre, Alabama. This effort supports the design, construction, and delivery of inland cutter vessels WLIC, WLR, and WLI variants by providing project management, SharePoint development, data management, quality assurance, and logistics coordination in alignment with USCG's Major System Acquisition policies. The role requires a full-time onsite presence at the WCC Project Resident Office, with responsibilities including oversight of production contracts, schedule management using Primavera and Microsoft Project, evaluation planning, deficiency tracking, and post-delivery logistics support. Personnel must meet required qualifications and security clearances, manage data through environments like SharePoint and NSERC, and handle sensitive but unclassified information to support operational readiness and mission success.
This position is on-site in Bayou La Batre, AL.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage, and review contractor submitted Integrated Logistics Contract Data Line Item (CDRL's) procedures
- Review WCC shipbuilder deliverables, including but not limited to Reliability Centered Maintenance procedures and plans. The Contractor shall assess these artifacts for compliance with the WCC production contract and applicable Coast Guard policy documents.
- Review technical manuals and documents submitted by the WCC shipbuilder. The types of technical documentation the Contactor shall review will include commercial vendor technical manuals specific to WCC systems and components, general cutter information manuals supplied by the WCC shipbuilder, Technical Manual Validation Certificates, IETP, TDSR of TDOP, Technical Repair Standards. The Contractor's review of these artifacts shall be submitted to the Government to support the validation of contract deliverables consistent with WCC production contract requirements.
- Support the Government in planning for and conducting physical configuration audits of WCC vessels to assess compliance with approved configuration baselines.
- Participate in all WCC CCB and PRO Configuration Review Board meetings. The Contractor shall assess the impacts of all proposed configuration and engineering during design and production of WCC vessels, with specific emphasis on logistics considerations for the duration of the WCC life-cycle. The Contractor shall expect, at a minimum, to participate in one weekly recurring meeting.
- Participate in all WCC logistics related working groups to include internal Government meetings as well as those with the WCC shipbuilder. The Logistician shall expect, at a minimum, to participate in one weekly recurring meeting, one monthly recurring meeting, and one quarterly recurring meeting with different stakeholders.
