SCHEDULE : Monday-Thursday 5 : 00am-3 : 30pm

JOB SUMMARY :

The Quality Technician is responsible for performing routine inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company and customer quality standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Inspect finished components using various measuring tools such as Thickness Meters, Gloss Meters, Solvent Rub tests, ACTS panels, etc., ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
  • Accurately record inspection results on appropriate forms and charts, identifying conforming and non-conforming parts.
  • Complete and maintain quality documentation including Appearance Approval Reports (AARs) and Paint Certification forms.
  • Operate, clean, and maintain the paint wash system as required.
  • Conduct routine chemical titration tests to monitor wash system quality.
  • Communicate inspection findings and product status to the Lead Quality Technician and CWF Leadership in a timely manner.
  • Support root cause analysis and correction action processes for quality related issues.
  • Assist with the review and disposition of non-conforming products in collaboration with the Lead Quality Technician and CWF Leadership.
  • Perform end of shift inspections, including nozzle checks and system flushes.
  • Participate in team efforts to improve processes and achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

    Education / Experience :

  • Associates degree or technical certification in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing or related field, and at least one year of experience in quality or similar role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred Experience :

  • Experience with finishing processes, quality inspection tools, and chemical titration.
  • Familiarity with ISO quality standards, customer specification, and quality systems and documentation.
  • PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS :

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk and / or hear, and / or use hands and fingers, handle, touch objects, tools and controls. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position .

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT :

    Work is performed in an office and manufacturing plant environment. Employee will be required to wear all required personal protective equipment when on the manufacturing floor. This is an onsite role, requiring consistent presence at the location.
