About The Position

Job Title : X-Ray Technologist

Profession : Radiology

Shift : Evening and Night

Hours per Shift : 8 hours (2 shifts from 3 : 00 PM to 11 : 30 PM) and 12 hours (2 shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM)

Experience : Minimum of 1 year in a hospital setting

License : Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required

Certifications : BLS, ARRT, State license

Must-Have :

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Experience in the OR and fluoroscopy procedures
• Good communication skills and empathy
• Knowledge of specialized imaging technology, including operation and maintenance of equipment
• Understanding of safety measures to prevent over-exposure to radiation
• Physical ability to position patients for quality imaging while ensuring patient comfort
• Attention to detail to maintain accurate patient medical records

Description :

The department has 2 routine x-ray rooms, 1 fluoro room, and 1 specials room.

There is also 1 specials room in the endoscopy suite and 1 routine room with stitching software for scoliosis and leg length imaging.

Four C-arms and 1 O-arm are available, along with a designated cystoscopy room in the OR.

The common types of imaging include routine x-rays, fluoroscopy studies, and interventional radiology procedures.

The average number of scans / studies performed daily is about 120 combined for radiology and fluoroscopy.

The department uses AGFA PACS for electronic medical records and image handling.

Equipment includes GE OEC C-arms, Dell Medical with AGFA digital plates, and Siemens fluoroscopy unit.

This role does not require floating to other areas or the start of IVs.

Weekend and holiday shifts are required.

Scrubs must be black for imaging, but are not provided.

No self-scheduling is allowed.

A department-specific orientation will be provided.

No Registered Radiology Assistants are utilized.

The team includes radiologists on-site for support.
