We are looking for a talented Social Media Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will create and execute compelling organic social media strategies, helping to amplify our mission and engage diverse audiences. This is a contract position based in Norwalk, Connecticut, with the potential for transition to a long-term role after six months.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement organic social media strategies to maximize audience engagement and brand visibility.
- Create innovative, platform-specific content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, and X (formerly Twitter).
- Monitor social media channels to engage with followers in real-time, manage communities, and address reputation risks.
- Analyze campaign performance data to inform strategy and provide actionable insights through detailed reporting.
- Collaborate with communications, PR, and creative teams to ensure content aligns with the organization’s voice and goals.
- Lead influencer marketing initiatives and event-based social media campaigns to amplify reach.
- Stay informed on industry trends and incorporate them into dynamic content strategies.
- Manage content calendars and oversee the use of tools like Meta Business Suite, Canva, and Sprout Social.
- Provide mentorship to team members and foster cross-functional collaboration with paid media managers.
- Proven experience in developing and managing successful organic social media campaigns.
- Proficiency in using tools such as Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, Canva, and TikTok Creator Tools.
- Strong skills in analytics and reporting, with the ability to draw insights from platforms like Google Analytics and LinkedIn Analytics.
- Expertise in content creation tailored to various platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and X.
- Solid understanding of community management and handling reputation risks or crisis situations.
- Background in influencer marketing and event-based campaigns.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across teams.
- Familiarity with nonprofit or mission-driven organizations is a plus.
