Description\n\nSummary : \n\nWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiology Cath Lab team. In this role, you will practice independently within a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex care while developing long-range goals for patient management. You'll have the opportunity to enhance your clinical nursing capabilities, making critical assignments and delegating tasks effectively to ensure the best care for your patients.\n\nResponsibilities : \n

- Deliver nursing care that adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice by utilizing the nursing process : assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.\n
- Address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.\n
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.\n
- Accurately document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.\n
- Assess patients' learning needs and educate patients, family members, and caregivers on relevant issues and resources.\n\nJob Requirements : \n\nEducation / Skills\n
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.\n\nExperience\n
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant nursing specialty is preferred.\n\nLicenses, Registrations, or Certifications\n
- Current BLS certification is required.\n
- Active RN License in the state of employment or compact.\n\nPosition Requirements : \n\nEducation / Skills\n
- All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within their first 30 days of employment.\n
- New hires will be precepted by a designated trained staff member, with onboarding requirements validated through competency assessments.\n
- Completion of all annual competency verification requirements is necessary.\n\nExperience\n
- One year of experience in a Critical Care setting is preferred; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply.\n\nLicenses, Registrations, or Certifications\n
- Current ACLS certification is required.\n\nIn line with CHRISTUS Health policy, all associates must obtain necessary certifications within the designated timeframe for their positions.\n\nCredential Grace Periods : \n\nGrace periods will apply for obtaining required certifications based on your level of experience : \n
- Associates with at least one year of acute care experience will have specific grace periods for certifications.\n
