Position Overview

The Strategic Client Executive is responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with key clients, particularly Third-Party Administrators (TPAs). This role involves understanding client needs, developing strategic plans to address those needs, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to drive client satisfaction and business growth.

What you'll do :

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key TPA clients, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
  • Understand client business objectives, challenges, and needs to provide tailored solutions.
  • Regularly communicate with clients to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns or issues.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve client goals and drive business growth.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services and solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful execution of client strategies and initiatives.
  • Oversee the delivery of services to TPA clients, ensuring high-quality and timely execution.
  • Coordinate with operations, product, and support teams to resolve any service-related issues.
  • Monitor service performance and implement improvements as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients on service performance, new offerings, and strategic initiatives.
  • Generate regular reports on key metrics, performance, and client satisfaction.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis and client feedback.
  • Manage contract renewals, negotiations, and amendments with TPA clients.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Work with legal and finance teams to address any contractual or billing issues.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape.
  • Share relevant insights with clients to help them stay ahead of industry developments.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance knowledge and relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and coordination in delivering client solutions.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior account managers and client service representatives.
  • Foster a culture of client-centricity and continuous improvement within the team.

What you'll bring to Zelis :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field. Or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in client management, account management, or a related field within the TPA or healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing key client accounts.
  • Strong understanding of TPA operations, healthcare administration, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other client management tools.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity.

    Location and Workplace Flexibility

    We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India. We foster a hybrid and remote friendly culture, and all our employee's work locations are based on the needs of the position and determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities, if applicable, vary based on the work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.

    Base Salary Range

    $115,000.00 - $153,000.00

    At Zelis we are committed to providing fair and equitable compensation packages. The base salary range allows us to make an offer that considers multiple individualized factors, including experience, education, qualifications, as well as job-related and industry-related knowledge and skills, etc. Base pay is just one part of our Total Rewards package, which may also include discretionary bonus plans, commissions, or other incentives depending on the role.

    Zelis' full-time associates are eligible for a highly competitive benefits package as well, which demonstrates our commitment to our employees' health, well-being, and financial protection.
