What You Will Be Doing

  • Deliver high-impact reading workshops that develop foundational skills in phonics, comprehension, and fluency using our adaptive technology platform
  • Design data-driven motivational frameworks that boost engagement through personalized literacy milestones and achievement pathways
  • Analyze real-time student progress metrics to continuously refine instruction and extract actionable insights for program improvement
  • Collaborate directly with our engineering team to evaluate and enhance AI literacy tools based on classroom implementation results
  • Develop scalable content modules that create personalized reading pathways for diverse learners across multiple campuses

What You Won't Be Doing

  • Implementing standardized, one-size-fits-all curricula that ignores individual student needs or performance data
  • Spending hours on administrative overhead, traditional lesson planning, or manual grading processes
  • Managing overcrowded classrooms with inadequate technological resources
  • Dedicating valuable instructional time to behavior management rather than focused literacy development
  • Teaching in isolation without direct input into program development or product enhancement
  • Literacy Coordinator Key Responsibilities

    Develop and scale an AI-enhanced reading program that enables early elementary students to achieve grade-level proficiency and cultivate a lifelong love of reading across multiple Alpha School campuses.

    Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor\'s degree with advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience delivering effective small-group reading interventions to early elementary students
  • Demonstrated ability to assess reading levels, strategically group students, and design differentiated instruction without reliance on pre-written curricula
  • Proficiency with AI / adaptive learning platforms and responsive instructional adaptation based on real-time student performance data
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Commitment to work on-site at one of our campuses : Tampa, FL; Austin, TX; Plano, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Spotswood, NJ or Dorado, Puerto Rico

    Working with us

    This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD / hour, which equates to $100,000 USD / year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
