Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Labor and Delivery Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 09 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours Employment Type : Travel Job Title : Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (LDRP) Location : Roswell, New Mexico Start Date : 11 / 10 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Nights, 3x12 (6 : 00 PM – 6 : 30 AM) Guaranteed Hours : Option of 36 or 48 hours per week Overview Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to provide high-quality care in an LDRP unit, including labor management, couplet care, and postpartum support . The nurse will manage laboring patients, assist with deliveries (vaginal and cesarean), and support newborn care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. First-time travelers are welcome. Key Responsibilities Labor & Delivery : Assist with vaginal deliveries, circulate for cesarean sections, manage triage of obstetrical patients. Newborn Care : Room-in couplet care, perform newborn assessments, thermoregulation, phototherapy, hypoglycemia management, infant identification, and assist with circumcision care. Postpartum Care : Episiotomy / incision care, breastfeeding / lactation support, postpartum monitoring for C-section and vaginal delivery patients. Collaborate with Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, and Rapid Response Teams . Maintain accurate patient documentation in Epic . Requirements Experience : Minimum 1 year in L&D and couplet care / LDRP. First-time travelers accepted. Certifications : Required : BLS, NRP Preferred : STABLE, PALS Patient Ratio : 1 : 3 for days, nights, and weekends. Patient Population : Neonates, laboring mothers, postpartum patients. Number of Beds : 11 Skills & Procedures Labor & delivery management Couplet care and newborn assessment Postpartum support for C-section and vaginal deliveries Episiotomy and incision care Breastfeeding / lactation support Phototherapy, thermoregulation, and hypoglycemia management Additional Information Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend, 12 shifts per contract. Floating : Not required. Scrubs : Provided (purple or navy / OR scrubs).
