Responsibilities :
- Research existing mainframe programs and documenting / flow charting findings
- Enhancing existing programs
- Writing custom one-time-only use programs to perform data modifications
- Documenting change evidence for FSA / SOX compliance
- Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications. Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
- Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
Techinical Skills Required :
2+ years experience with Cat mainframe environment, preferably GIS Cluster C / A - COBOL development3+ years -SQL / DB2 programming mainframe3+ years -IMS or CICS development2+ years (IMS preferred)2+ years with debugging tools like Xpeditor, Abend-Aid -2+ experience working with end-customers on IT requirements / testingDesired Skills :
Experience in working with FSA / SOX Controls
Soft Skills Required :
Good communicator / clear English skills
Education & Experience Required :
Programming certificate degree - at least undergrad / community college 2 yr., preferably / desired 4 year Comp Sci degreeNo degree, they will need to have at least 8-10 of actual hands on experience in this role.Masters degree, they will at least 4+ years of experienceRequired Skills : Mainframe,SQL
