Job description

Locum Tenens Opportunity : Neurologist Near Royersford, PA

We are seeking two dedicated Neurologists for full-time locum tenens positions near Royersford, PA. These opportunities offer a unique blend of hospitalist and outpatient care, providing flexibility and the chance to work in a dynamic healthcare environment. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Neurologists who are looking to make a significant impact while enjoying a balanced work-life schedule.

Position Overview :

  • Specialty : General Neurology / Stroke
  • Location : Near Royersford, PA
  • Start Date : ASAP
  • Contract Length : Ongoing, with potential for permanent placement
  • Position Type : Locum Tenens
  • Coverage Type : Inpatient and Outpatient Care

Key Responsibilities :

  • Neurohospitalist Role :

    • Shift : 7 days on, including call / 7 days off, providing continuity of care and ample time for rest and recovery.

  • Inpatient Care : Manage acute neurological conditions, including stroke, seizures, and other neurological emergencies. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Consultation Services : Offer neurological consultation for inpatients, working closely with other specialists to manage complex cases.
  • Outpatient Neurology Role :

    • Shift : Office-based practice with hospital and call rotation (1 in 4).

  • Outpatient Care : Provide general neurology care, managing chronic neurological conditions such as epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and neuropathy.
  • Procedural Support : EMG and EEG services available offsite at the hospital, allowing for comprehensive diagnostic evaluations.

    • Practice Details :

  • EMR Systems : Utilize eClinicalWorks for outpatient care and Meditech for inpatient documentation, ensuring a streamlined and efficient workflow.
  • Certifications Required :

    • Candidates must be Board Certified in Neurology.

  • Newly trained candidates must achieve Board Certification within three years of completing residency.
