LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified General Surgery MD in Tennessee!

About The Position

We are seeking a board-certified General Surgeon for a 9-day locum tenens assignment in Tennessee. This opportunity starts Nov 21, 2025, with urgent coverage needed during November and December. The schedule consists of 24-hour shifts from 7am to 7am, with specific dates outlined below. Candidates must have active Tennessee licensure, recent emergency experience for possible trauma cases, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide general surgical care for patients, including emergency and possible trauma cases
  • No APP supervising required, but may need to sign off on certain items
  • Respond promptly to urgent and emergent surgical needs during assigned shifts
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required

  • Board certification in General Surgery required
  • Active Tennessee medical license required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
  • Recent experience with emergency and trauma cases is essential
