Description :
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse specialized in Oncology.
The nurse will work on a Med / Surg, Oncology, Telemetry, and Progressive Care unit.
The position requires the ability to float to various care areas to manage medical / surgical and telemetry patients.
Every other weekend availability is mandatory.
The patient population includes hematology-oncology, oncology, bone marrow transplant, and medical / surgical cases.
Successful candidates must have either ONS Biotherapy certification or ONS Immunotherapy certification.
Experience with chemotherapy administration, monitoring chemotherapy, and managing peripheral lines is essential.
Charge experience is preferred, with a patient ratio experience of 4 : 1.
Strong knowledge of telemetry is required.
All applicants must be vaccinated against COVID-19, with medical or religious exemptions accepted.
The ability to work closely with interdisciplinary teams is critical for patient care.
The daily census for the unit is approximately 23 patients.
