Job Description :
POSITION SUMMARY : The Commissary / Prep Cook is accountable for preparing all food dishes according to established recipes. This position reports to the Commissary Kitchen Manager. This is a full-time role, days off are Sunday / Monday and hours from 6am - 2pm / 3pm
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Complete all tasks and prep sheet items assigned to you each day.
- Working with the other team members at the Commissary to complete all necessary work for each shift.
- Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet the Health Department standards or food and safety standards and regulations : Food rotations, food hierarchy, sanitation standards, product temperatures.
- Assume responsibility for quality of products prepared.
- Comply consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
- Follow all recipes as documented.
- Handle, store and rotate all products properly.
- Perform related duties such as helping to wash dishes as needed, preparing recycling and cleaning around the kitchen.
- Always maintain cleanliness and sanitation; performs closing clean-up duties.
- Uphold company safety and sanitation requirements to ensure the health and safety of our guests and employees.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS :
Experience in the food industry is preferred.Excellent culinary skills.Possess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and culture.Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize.EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :
Must be at least 18 years of age.Minimum of 2 years’ experience of kitchen experience.Necessary food handler’s certificate.Pizza Dough and Salad Prep Experience a plusESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS :
Must have the ability / stamina to work a minimum of 25 hours a week.Ability to stand / walk for 4-8 hours per day.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, and carry.Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.Must be able to tolerate potential allergens : Peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish.About Pizzana :
