Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position requiring an active MD or Compact RN license and BLS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a dedicated Cardiac Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM
  • Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required as needed
  • Travelers are the first to float within the hospital and must be comfortable floating as needed
  • Most units require CPI certification through the Calm Every Storm online version for compliance
  • Travelers must complete lab work within 72 hours of contract signing
  • Return travelers must have been away from the system for at least 6 months
  • Former staff must be gone for 12 months before returning as a traveler
  • One major holiday off may be granted during the winter season, depending on unit needs
  • Scheduling restrictions such as block scheduling cannot be requested
  • Modules must be completed as part of onboarding
  • RTO (Requested Time Off) must be included with initial consideration and cannot be changed after offer

  • Active MD or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
  • Ability and willingness to float to other units within the hospital within scope of experience
  • Two satisfactory professional references required from most recent employers, including one supervisor or manager and one charge RN
  • Local candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
