The Materials and Structural Analysis Electron Microscopy business enables customers to find meaningful answers to questions that accelerate breakthrough discoveries, increase efficiency, and ultimately change the world. The M&SA EM business designs, manufactures, and supports the broadest range of high-performance electron microscopy workflows that provide images and answers in the micro-, nano-, and picometer scales.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for sales activities and account management in assigned locations, driving sales strategies, and achieving business goals.
- All sales / account management activities for Material Science - Electron Microscopy products for all accounts (Industrial plus Academic / Government) in Southern California and adjacent regions.
- Define, align and implement Account Strategy for both the Academic / Government and Industrial markets.
- Manage the sales booking process and maintain accurate quarterly booking forecasts.
- Understand technical and budgetary issues for each customer and define tactical plans to win business.
- Confirm all system configurations, specifications and acceptance conditions are appropriate for closing orders.
- Lead User Group activities within region as required.
- Organize system demonstrations, working with application engineers and product marketing managers.
- Handle product issues in the field with the service group and application engineers for solutions.
- Work with Field Service to achieve excellent customer happiness.
Minimum Qualifications
Typically requires a technical university degree, preferably in Material Science, Physics, Engineering.Requires 5 years of scientific capital equipment sales experience in a related product area.Highly developed negotiation skills for customer interaction and closure of sales.Excellent, enthusiastic, clear communication skills for a diverse audience.Detailed problem-solving abilities working with customers and account teams.Excellent presentation skills and ability to generate presentations for internal and external audiences.Capability to collaborate effectively in a team sales environment, and the wider internal MSD team.Ability to travel to customer sites and factory locally and internationally (50% or more).Must be able to secure entrance to US Government laboratories and facilities.Preferred Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits : The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $95,000.00$142,475.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and / or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
