Precision Machining Cell Operator — Drivetrain Components
Step onto the production floor of a high-precision manufacturer in Winchester, KY, where automotive and powersports drivetrain parts take shape. As a Machine Operator placed by Malone Staffing Solutions, you’ll keep machining and assembly cells running smoothly, ensuring every component meets exacting specs and documenting your work along the way.
What your day looks like
You’ll arrive ready to work safely, review operation sheets, and confirm process flow for the day’s parts. Throughout your shift, you’ll measure diameters, depths, grooves, and runout, apply poke-yoke checks, and label approved parts with packing numbers. You’ll monitor fluid levels for TPM, initiate Trouble Reports when something’s off, and support continuous improvement (Kaizen) by suggesting countermeasures and sharing know-how with teammates.
Pay, schedule, and location
- Compensation : $15 – $15.75 / hour
- Position Type : Temporary to full-time hire position
- Schedule : First shift : Monday – Friday, 5 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM
- Second shift : Monday – Friday, 5 : 00 PM – 3 : 30 AM
- Overtime : Mandatory on occasion

Core responsibilities
Show reliable attendance and follow Company policies, Safety Rules and Regulations, and the Quality Manual.Maintain process flow for machining / assembly per documented procedures; complete daily production tracking accurately.Perform quality inspections using gauges to check diameters, depths, internal / external grooves, and other features; complete runout and poke-yoke checks as required.Consistently produce 100% quality parts by recognizing abnormal conditions and following proper operating procedures.Initiate Trouble Reports; participate in investigations and recommend countermeasures.Approve outgoing parts by labeling boxes with individual packing numbers.Read and use production documentation (PCC, Operation Sheets, SOS, FMEA, Key Point, Kan Ban, Flow Cards).Support TPM : check oil, coolant, and other fluid levels; participate in scheduled TPM activities.Complete operator training required for each Rank.Contribute to Department and Company goals; drive Kaizen improvements; support team leaders and peers; sustain a safe workplace.Train others in areas where you’re competent; perform other duties as assigned by Management.Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.Additional technical training (courses, certifications, seminars) preferred.Solid math and reasoning skills; clear verbal and written communication.Ability to train peers and collaborate in a team setting.Six months to one year of factory / manufacturing experience preferred.Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.Commitment to safety and following a strict safety regimen.Physical requirements
Stand up to 10 hours at a time.Move throughout the plant; repeatedly bend, squat, reach overhead; move head up / down and side-to-side.Strong, steady hand use; finger dexterity; grasp small and large objects; rotate wrists, arms, and shoulders.Good eyesight, hearing, and speaking voice; frequently lift 10–40 lbs.Work effectively with others.Job type
