Responsible for creating, maintaining and developing relationships as well as favorable contacts with current and potential accounts.
Primary activities consist of contract review, customer relations, sales support, account profitability and order processing. Responsible for the management of customer order files, while maintaining communications between external sales as well as factory operations in relation to said files.
Essential functions include supporting the preparation of sales forecasts, acting as the leading support for budgeting and LQE activities, developing and maintaining positive customer relations, leading customer visits/reoccurring meetings, developing and tracking customer milestones, proficiency in the use of Excel, PowerPoint and Word, identifying and driving for improvements in sales processes and systems, pursuing open non-conforming submittals for disposition with customer, researching and responding to customer inquiries, processing customer purchase orders, maintaining order book with accuracy and timeliness, understanding company procedures and work instructions, and some travel may be required in support of Customer Visits.
Bachelor's degree and/or five years experience in inside sales. Experience in a manufacturing environment required. Aerospace industry experience is highly preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, familiar with ERP systems, knowledge of MRP, purchasing and fulfillment software. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
